Wood Siding Not Required

This barn-style event space faced a unique challenge from the get-go. It needed to evoke a rustic charm to attract wedding bookings, but the owners wanted to avoid wood siding. They had clad their own home with real wood siding and were unhappy with the costly annual upkeep and repairs to maintain it.

They decided to use steel siding for the exterior, despite knowing that they would sacrifice the rural look that so many newlyweds looked for in a barn venue. Luckily, their builder, Steel Structures America, stocked Tru-Steel HD in the Rough Edge Barnwood Plank image, which was perfect for the look they were chasing.

The resulting barn delivered a remarkably realistic wood look using the Tru-Steel HD board-and-batten panels, while avoiding the cost and maintenance of wood or vinyl siding.
